I bet you were in Idaho now :P.
it was a balmy 57F today, and hardly a cloud in the sky.

My CO friends were bragging about wearing shorts as I was scraping sleet/sheet ice off of my car in rural IL. I hope the weird weather keeps up in February and March when I visit Boulder, but somehow I don't think it will.

Tis about to happen!!! But only farther north in the Southeast. I'll be within a couple of hours of some nice mountains though(for the east), so that's nice. NO MORE BEACH!

If it weren't for my asthma, I'd still live up north lol. I liked the elevation and rally stage like roads.

(my mom used to live in the suburbs of Seattle in the 90's)

Central, Mass. reporting in:
Drove around this city in 4WD, with snows, no problems.
Climbed hill.
Pulled into empty college parking lot next to house....
Introduced (ok re-intro'ed) GF to donuts.
Proceed to hoon until slightly stomach sick.
Laugh.
Go home drink wine.
We're doing just fine, thanks. :-)

we have like 5 ski resorts within about 4 hours of where I live, so there is plenty of potential for lots of snow
sadly, I don't ski or snowboard.

its my first year of driving, and while my car is probably more suitable for snow than my moms (my moms has better and newer tires with more tread, but they are all seasons, as are mine) i have true 4WD with a transfer case and low-range, I think my mom would rather drive her car in the snow. she won't let me drive in the snow either because I would obviously crash and die since I've only had my license for about 6 months (yeah right). so in a way, im happy we have had a huge lack of snow, because that means she will let me drive.

yeah, to me, florida seems like an odd place for a rally school. of course, the best known, and probably the best is Team O'Neill in New Hampshire, but if I wanted to do a rally school (I really do) I would go to DirtFish because I could drive there instead of having to fly across

Yeah, but I also have access to beaches and surf spots 1h drive from here too :)
Go find that in Moscow haha
(well beaches are 30 minutes away and surf spot 1h away but still :) )

To be fair, there are thousands of miles of unpaved roads in Florida. If the state would stop being greedy fucks, we could have nice, fun things. Like big rally's and dunes to race on.

Oddly enough, I daily drive a '96 Jeep Cherokee BECAUSE my mom had one back when they were new and I never got over it. Well, that and my dad going "You should see these idiots in Mustangs shit themselves when I blow them off the line."
Dad used to daily drive a '67 Corvette (350/350) through New Hampshire winters (with his coydog riding shotgun). He's still got a few inches on me height, chest, and fucking balls.
Might have had a few more if he didn't go through the windshield of their Corvair but that's a different story, glad I was born after that!

I think part of the reason she would rather drive her car is because she is used to it, hers is a ford escape, so a short little SUV, where mine is a Mercury Mountaineer, based off of a Ford Explorer, and I think she doesn't like to drive it as much is because its bigger, and doesn't handle quite as well.
